AMI Round the Bays Wellington 2012 has now finished

AMI Round the Bays Wellington event takes advantage of a picturesque setting which winds its way around Wellington's stunning inner city harbour.

The 7km fun run/walk starts in the city centre and follows Oriental and Evans Bays Parade to Kilbirnie Park in the City's south-east. The ISC Lenco Half Marathon continues on around the Miramar Peninsula where it hugs the harbour shoreline, before returning to the finish line festival at Kilbirnie Park.

The event is in its 14th year, with the half marathon option available for the fourth year running. In 2011 a record 11,100 people took part. Live music, food stalls, spot prizes and massage tents at the finish line add to the festival atmosphere and then free buses to shuttle participants back to the city, although many people opt to walk the 7kms back around the bays, such is the beauty of the walk.

You can also do your part by sponsoring someone you know, or encouraging your friends and colleagues to run and fundraise with you! Every dollar counts, it doesn't matter how big or small your collection, each dollar fundraised is a success in our eyes.
