Here at St John, we are always blown away by the generosity of people – young and old – who choose to give rather than receive.

When you choose to support St John by inviting your friends and family to donate to St John instead of buying presents, you are giving the ultimate gift, helping us help others and save lives.

Example of how you can celebrate:

Pledging your birthday

Birthday fundraising is simple, feels great and is, quite literally, child’s play! Meet two of our youngest fundraisers, Louise and Marc.

When she was just six years old, Louise asked her friends and family to donate to St John instead of buying birthday presents. By the time she had turned 10, she’d donated more than $2000. It’s such a simple, yet profound gesture to support St John. Then there’s seven year old Marc, who decided all by himself to support St John, asking that donations be brought to his birthday party rather than presents. Armed with a donation bucket, Marc raised more than $400 on the day, and his selfless generosity is an inspiration to all.

Like Louise, Marc hasn’t ever personally experienced the services of St John but knows that we’re here to help people just like him and his family.
