Because your gift helps build strong kids, families and communities.

At the YMCA, we believe everyone deserves to reach their potential. However, many in our community are facing tough challenges like rising living costs, poor nutrition and physical inactivity. It is even more difficult for those who have to face these challenges alone. That’s why YMCA is here to support our local communities with programmes and services that help people achieve healthy and meaningful lives.

Did you know?

  • About one in seven families in New Zealand struggles to pay for the basics, let alone holidays and activities.
  • About 12% of young people are not in employment, education or training. They miss out on opportunities and experiences that can help them lead a more successful life.
  • About one in eight children in New Zealand are obese and this affects not only their health but also their quality of life.

YMCA is not-for-profit and your donation will go towards building stronger kids, families and communities through our three charitable causes.

Raise Up is our youth programme which is run by youth for youth. It offers teenagers with an empowering environment to learn life, leadership and mentoring skills.

Through Family Camp, we send deserving families for a weekend away from the stresses of daily life.

And, we offer Fee Assistance to people who would otherwise not be able to use YMCA services.

By donating, you are making a positive difference in the lives of men, women and children in our local communities who need your support.

Our aim is to raise $20,000 this Christmas, with funds going towards making YMCA programmes accessible for everyone so they can have the opportunity to live healthier and happier lives.

Every gift, big or small, makes a difference. Please donate to help give Kiwi kids, young people and their families the opportunity to achieve their potential for a brighter future.

Thank you for your donation.
